This is a collection of stories, as told by parents and caregivers on the impact of the Nurturing Care early childhood development project, implemented in Siaya County, with funding from Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, to address the needs of children aged 5 years and below and their caregivers affected by HIV and AIDS.

This brief shares learning from ChildFund’s implementation of the project, “Assuring the Essentials of Optimal Development for Infants and Young Children Affected by HIV and AIDS in Kenya and Zambia”. In this brief, we present a brief overview of the project and share findings from an evaluation of the project, focusing on those specific to Kenya.

This snapshot summarizes the impact of the Mazingira Bora project in Nairobi’s Mukuru Urban Informal Settlements. The project delivered WASH interventions to improve the management of waste disposal, increase access to and use of safe water and improve hygiene practices in households and to decrease water borne diseases among children.

This pulse survey sought to understand children’s views on COVID-19, access to the justice system and recommendations. The survey was to hear from children and make critical advocacy recommendations.

This evaluation sought to establish children’s level of understanding of their rights to protection and how they utilize formal and community-based child protection structures to address cases of abuse, and establish existing linkages between formal and informal community-based child protection systems.
