Eric Odero Oyoo is an accomplished development and humanitarian leader with over 20 years of experience across Kenya and the wider Horn of Africa. He has held senior leadership and management roles with leading international organizations, including Plan International, Save the Children, Peace Winds Japan, Merlin-UK, and Health Unlimited-UK. His expertise spans programme strategy and delivery, child sponsorship, safeguarding, localization, partnership development, resource mobilization, programme quality, and the leadership of multidisciplinary teams operating in complex environments.

Eric has a strong track record in strengthening programme effectiveness, building strategic partnerships, and driving organizational growth. He has successfully led initiatives focused on programme quality, sponsorship excellence, safeguarding, and locally led development, while fostering high-performing teams and promoting accountability and impact for children and communities.

With strengths in strategic leadership, humanitarian operations, monitoring and evaluation, organizational development, and resource mobilization, Eric is helping advance ChildFund Kenya’s mission to improve children’s wellbeing and ensure their voices, protection, and aspirations remain at the center of development efforts. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Moi University and has undertaken postgraduate studies in Health Systems Management, complemented by professional training in management, strategic planning, humanitarian operations, monitoring and evaluation, and security.
