This report presents a review of Kenya’s Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic focusing on the health, social and economic interventions. Additionally, the report highlights lessons learned and offers recommendations for strengthening future preparedness and resilience.

This snapshot summarizes the impact of the Mazingira Bora project in Nairobi’s Mukuru Urban Informal Settlements. The project delivered WASH interventions to improve the management of waste disposal, increase access to and use of safe water and improve hygiene practices in households and to decrease water borne diseases among children.

This costed National Plan of Action to Tackle Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse is a historic document and the first of its kind in Kenya. It aims to guide government, industry, policymakers, civil society organizations and communities to take the right measures to ensure the internet is safe for children.

The Children Act, 2022, is an act of Parliament to give effect to Article 53 of the Constitution; to make provision for children rights, parental responsibility, alternative care of children including guardianship, foster care placement and adoption; to make provision for care and protection of children and children in conflict with the law; to make provision for, and regulate the administration of children services; to establish the National Council for Children’s Services and for connected purposes.

The Plan aims to accelerate evidence-based multi-sectoral actions to address violence against children and will be led and implemented by the Government with the support of development partners, civil society organizations and community members.
