Elimu KiDijitali is transforming education by promoting equitable access to digital learning in primary schools across Nairobi, Murang’a, and Kiambu Counties. Funded by ChildFund Korea with a budget of $470,000, the three-year project modernized traditional teaching methods by integrating digital technology and internet connectivity into classrooms. 

Over 8,300 students now have access to tools like tablets and a digital library, while teachers are equipped with laptops, multimedia classrooms, and projectors for enhanced learning experiences. 

The project also provides training for parents, teachers, and students on online safety.

• 66% of caregivers demonstrated increased knowledge, attitudes and practices regarding digital learning, OCSEA and online child safety
• 91 teachers and 18 school administrators were trained on pedagogical skills using digital devices improving their ability to integrate technology into daily lesson plans and classroom management.
• 74% of learners reported being confident with using digital tools for learning.
• Over 10,084 children were trained on online safety, increasing their knowledge, attitudes, and safe practices related to digital learning, online child sexual exploitation and abuse (OCSEA), and online child protection. They gained practical skills to recognize digital threats and navigate the internet safely and responsibly.
• 87% of caregivers strengthened their knowledge, attitudes, and practices to support children’s digital learning and safeguard them from online risks, including online child sexual exploitation and abuse (OCSEA).
• 280 tablets, 20 laptops, 10 projectors distributed to 10 schools and provision of internet connectivity (2 routers per school) for ease of access to online resources for learning.
• Interactive CBC aligned digital learning content which is approved by Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) procurement and installed in all learners’ digital devices.
