Over 600 learners in Naningoi alongside more than 6,000 community members in Mosiro, Kajiado County, now have access to safe, fluoride-free drinking water, following the commissioning of the Maji Safi Naningoi Project yesterday. An additional 5,000 people are expected to benefit through water distribution and related enterprise opportunities.

The project has delivered a solar-powered Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment plant that addresses the long-standing challenge of high fluoride levels in local water sources, helping protect children and families from the health risks associated with fluoride contamination.

Implemented by Ewangan Child Development Programme in partnership with ChildFund, DuPont Water Solutions, and Davis & Shirtliff, the project also invested in community capacity by training local operators and technicians, strengthening the Naningoi Water User Committee, and establishing systems to support long-term operation and maintenance.
