Lishe Bora na Mama Silage Project: Empowering Women, Youth & Smallholder Farmers through Climate Smart Dairy Enterprises.
Lishe Bora na Mama Silage is dedicated to transforming rural livelihoods by expanding access to climate-smart silage technology, advancing financial inclusion, and cultivating an inclusive agribusiness ecosystem. The project empowers smallholder farmers to build profitable and climate-resilient futures by integrating sustainable agribusiness and agroforestry practices. Its approach is anchored on three pillars: driving economic empowerment and long-term sustainability; connecting farmers with key service providers such as financial institutions, farm input suppliers, and extension services; and promoting regenerative agriculture by introducing drought-resistant fodder trees like Leucaena, Brachiaria, and Calliandra.
- Enhance sustainable women and youth-led dairy enterprises in Nyeri and Laikipia counties by February 2026, with at least 60% women and 40% youth leadership representation.
